The Kick-off Meeting of WeChat Mini Program Application Development Contest 2019

China Collegiate Computing Contest 2019 - WeChat Mini Program Application Development Contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) was open for application from March 5. The contest, which aims at mining and nurturing new forces in universities around the world, was kicked off at the Communication University of China on the afternoon of March 12.



"WeChat has been involved in all aspects of our lives. And this contest is of considerable help for teaching and employment." Said Huang Xinyuan, dean of the School of Animation and Digital Arts at Communication University of China.




"This contest not only can train students' practical ability, but also plays a very good role in promoting the WeChat ecosystem and cultivating talents." Teacher Liu Qiang of Tsinghua University Software College commented.



At the meeting, the WeChat team explained the contest schedule and rules, and shared some solid knowledge on WeChat mini program.The WeChat product team conducted a case analysis of the mini program and share development advice for everyone. The development team of WeChat mini game "Jump" also shared how they developed the game. Besides, the champion team of last year made an experience sharing as well. In addition, Yang Hong, a teacher of the Communication University of China, also gave detailed explanations for the designated topics of the contest for the students, so that everyone benefited a lot.




Contest Introduction

This contest is an innovative application development based on Tencent WeChat mini program platform jointly hosted by Tsinghua University, Communication University of China and Tencent WeChat Business Group. The contest categories includes WeChat mini program and WeChat mini game.

Objects

This contest is for Chinese and overseas students (including higher vocational colleges, undergraduates, postgraduates).

Requirements on Entries

The contest categories includes WeChat mini program and WeChat mini game. Each team can only choose one category to participate in the contest.

Schedule

The contest is divided into four stages, namely, team building and testing, submission of entries, trials in contest areas and national final. 

Rules for Promotion

After the online review in each contest area, the top 15 teams of the WeChat mini program and the top 10 of the WeChat mini game will get to the area final. 

There will be 30 teams of mini program and 20 of mini game entering the national final.

Awards

Awards for Trails in Contest Areas
Awards for trails in contest areas are individually set by contest areas according to the two categories of mini program and mini game.

Awards for Final
The prize pools for WeChat mini program finals and WeChat mini game finals are: RMB 480,000 and RMB 330,000 (all bonuses are pre-tax amounts).

Other Incentives
Other incentives include green channel for recruitment and attendance in WeChat conference.
